Project: Commercial Heating at Bathstore Chester

Jigsaw FM’s heating engineers were called out to the Bathstore after they reported a suspected broken heater at their Chester branch. This particular heater was responsible for providing comfort heating for the Bathstore staff, and customers within the store.

What We Did

After an inspection, and a thorough investigation of the broken heater situation, our heating engineers had deemed the current space heater to be no longer fit for use, and was in no state of repair. So, after discussion with the Chester store manager, it was decided to fit a brand new heating system.

We proposed the installation of a new, high-efficiency Powrmatic space heater. The building, in which the Chester Bathstore occupies, has evolved a lot over the years and so, the original direction of the heater’s air flow wasn’t best suited to the current shop layout, and showroom. Therefore, along with fitting a new space heater, we also altered the direction of the air flow; based on the customers’ current needs.

As this was a commercial heating installation, in a city centre store, we wanted to make sure we installed, tested, and commissioned the new heater within the customer’s timeframe, and without causing any disturbance to the busy showroom, and shop area, which was absolutely key for our customer!

Following the installation of the new space heater, the feedback we have received is that the heater has dramatically improved the comfort of both the staff and their customers.
