A factory in Liverpool had a heating system installed in the 1960’s that had recently started to generate problems. Due to its age, the replacement parts were either not available or not cost effective to replace. We proposed to replace the boilers with one new, high efficiency condensing boiler. This not only improved reliability for the customer but also massively reduced running costs.
We stripped out the plant room and removed any pipework showing signs of corrosion. We flushed out the system and replaced all thermostatic radiator valves to further improve the buildings efficiency. Before fitting the new boiler we installed an Air and Dirt separator to prevent any debris from making its way back to the boiler and potentially blocking the heat exchanger.
To control the system, we fitted a controller that was password protected and had a remote sensor taking the temperature from the coldest room in the building. The end result was a new, spacious plant room along with a building with temperature control on every radiator.
